Why we exist

Making solidarity a daily presence.

The Chain of Hope (שרשרת התקווה) is an officially registered association in Israel (עמותה רשומה), supporting families in need. We connect people who want to help with those going through a difficult time: listening, responding to priority needs and moving forward with dignity.

“

“The right help, at the right time, can change an entire week.”

Restoring hope to families

Most of the families we support are single mothers who have faced deeply painful experiences. Many struggle to obtain child support (mezonot) or assistance from Bituach Leumi, Israel’s National Insurance Institute.

We support them through the challenges they face with their children, as well as financial, physical and emotional difficulties. Our role is to restore hope when they feel overwhelmed, isolated and without support.

We also help families in which one parent is affected by illness and/or disability. When government assistance is unavailable or insufficient, our presence and practical support are essential to helping them through these hardships.

This essential support is only possible thanks to the generosity of our donors.

Meaningful gestures

Our actions, close to everyday needs.

Children’s activities

130 swimming pool passes distributed free of charge to families during August.

Family groceries

Every week, 2 families receive groceries delivered to their homes.

School supplies

We make sure every child has everything they need at the start of the school year.

Rent support

With many families at risk of eviction, we do everything we can to help them keep a roof over their heads: by helping them find additional work, negotiating with their landlord or covering part of their unpaid rent.

Bill payments

Bills add to the burden of everyday debts. We are often a lifeline that brings relief to families in moments of panic.

Fruit and vegetables

Thanks to Itshak, we frequently receive fruit and vegetables that greatly ease the burden on our families. During the holidays, we also receive bags filled with chicken, meat and fish for half of the families we support.

Bread and pitot

Thanks to Dvora, who knows about our work, Eyal occasionally supplies us with fresh bread and pita. The families are absolutely delighted.

Hanukkah gifts

We try to bring a smile to the children in the families we support, who often carry their parents’ worries in their hearts.

Words that carry us

Behind every gesture, a story.

Stories shared with care, reminding us that solidarity is first felt in the details.

“Wow, you don’t realize what it means to receive meat. I have at most 150 shekels a week for groceries, including for Shabbat. Your help is a great blessing.”

“When a family contacts me because there is no food at home, my heart breaks. I do everything I can to make sure they receive the essentials that same day, so the children do not go to school hungry.”

“A heartfelt thank you to The Chain of Hope and its donors! Your solidarity makes a real difference to my family. The association and its volunteers provide invaluable support:

  • Material support : The grocery shopping done by families greatly eases our burden.
  • Financial assistance : The bank transfers we receive provide tangible financial help.
  • Support during the holidays : The assistance specifically provided for the holidays helps us get through these periods with greater peace of mind.
  • Constant care : Whenever we are missing something, the association takes our situation to heart and immediately looks for ways to help us.

I want to thank both the association for its care and sensitivity, and the donors for their generosity.”
